A topical numbing gel is used throughout the procedure and reduces any pain and swelling to very little, or none at all. 

Clients retain color anywhere from one to three years. Skin type, health, and lifestyle factors all determine the longevity. All tattoos fade to some extent over time, and the skin's composition on the facial area sheds much more quickly than other areas.
